CHARLESTOWN NEVIS, July 25, 2020 (BHC Media) – On July 24 in conjunction with the Lowland Community Foundation, the Honourable Cleone Stapleton Simmonds broke ground in the first of a series of projects to be established throughout the St Thomas constituency by the foundation’s small business initiative.
The ceremony was held opposite the Cherry Tree Bar in Barnes Ghaut in the view of a huge crowd gathered on sight. The speakers all received thunderous applause by an excited audience.
Mr Brandon Hamilton was the first recipient of the foundation’s initiative. Mr Hamilton highlighted how pleased he is to receive the assistance of $5000 towards the opening of his barber shop in the area.
Brief remarks were also made by the Honourable Cleone Stapleton Simmonds, the area representative who gave details on the formation of her historic initiative to empower young persons in her constituency.
Special address was made by Mr Ashley Farrel and Mr Chesley Davis gave the vote of thanks. Mr Davis thanked the many persons who showed up and BHC Media for covering this event.
